Diapensia

Diapensia is a 36 foot Cape Dory cutter, a blue water cruiser designed by Carl Alberg. Diapensia lapponica is a hardy, arctic flower that, in spite of icy winds and Spring snowfalls, can be found thriving on Mt. Washington. This past year she has been in Steve Newman's shop on Campobello Island getting fiberglass repairs to her decks and cockpit and new Awlgrip paint job. We are now cruising about the great North American Continent in our shy and unimposing land yacht, Wandah.

In the Operating Room

Wandah - poor baby - is on the Clear Creek repair apron. The stench of burned rubber and piss permeate dear old Wandah. Renee needs gentle coaxing especially when dealing with stuff like the savage attack on the silverware drawer. The expression on her face tells it all. Some corrections are in order from our previous post.

The trailer brakes are electric and the wires are all intact. The leaking brake fluid was in fact water dripping from the spangled water lines snarled in the axle.
